EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEHT)- On Monday evening there was a continued push for the Evansville City Council to adopt a resolution calling for a cease fire in Gaza.

Several people spoke in favor of the move, including one man who addressed Council Members by holding a picture of what he says are bombs that the U.S. helped Israel to pay for.

In March, a group urged the City Council to join them in adopting a cease fire resolution, but council members declined to comment at the time. Eyewitness News will follow up with the City Council to see if their stance has changed following Monday’s meeting.
