SAN ANTONIO - The victim in a fatal pedestrian traffic accident on the West Side Sunday afternoon has been identified.

Investigators have announced around 5 p.m. Sunday, 52-year-old Graciela Murrillo Angel was hit and killed during a traffic accident along Potranco Road between North Ellison Drive and Duglas Road.

Authorities say the accident happened when the victim was walking eastbound on the north sidewalk.

A vehicle, attempting to turn left from the eastbound lane into a private driveway, failed to yield to oncoming traffic and crashed into another vehicle.

The vehicle that was hit was redirected from the Westbound lane into the North sidewalk, striking Angel.

Angel was pronounced dead at the scene by SAFD. Both drivers stayed at the scene and cooperated with investigators.
