Angel Reese is now a WNBA player and that brings some financial benefits which she is clearly enjoying, having just purchased a new almost 200,000-dollar Mercedes Benz.

The former LSU Tigers star was drafted by the Chicago Sky at the WNBA Draft and the fans in the Windy City have been quick to welcome her.

They'll now be able to recognize Reese driving through the city as she has shown off her new 183,000-dollar Mercedes which is presumably a gift to herself for making it to senior professional basketball.

Angel Reese's new car

She shared a picture of her old car on Instagram which was a smaller Mercedes that most people would still be thrilled with, and captioned it: "BYE BYE TO MY FIRST EVER BABY. BUT ITS TIME TO UPGRADE YA TO THE BIG BARBIEEEEE."

She then shared one of her new car, a Mercedes Benz 2024 AMG 63 SUV in white, commonly referred to as a G-Wagon. She captioned that image with: "NEW CITY. NEW BEGINNINGS. NEW BIG BODY BARBIE BENZ."

The Mercedes website explains that the car is worth 183,000 dollars, boasts 577 horsepower and has a 4.0LV8 biturbo engine.

Reese has been through some hard times to reach this point in her career, saying to reporters during March Madness: "I've been through so much. I've seen so much. I've been attacked so many times, death threats. I've been sexualized. I've been threatened. I've been so many things, and I've stood strong every single time.

"I just try to stand strong for my teammates because I don't want them to see me down and not be there for them. I'm still a human. All this has happened since I won the national championship. I haven't had peace since then."
