Around 11:30 a.m. Friday, the Sheriff’s Office and the Waterloo Fire Department responded to a crash near North 230th Street about a mile south of Edgewater Road. A white Chevrolet Impala was found approximately 20 feet from the west side of 230th Street, with the front of the vehicle resting against a tree.
Investigators determined that the car had been traveling southbound on the street when it left the roadway and hit a tree. Amundson, who was the sole occupant of the Chevrolet, was found unresponsive.
