New 'COPS: Spring Break' season spotlights ECSO deputies cracking down on spring breakers

The long running hit TV show "COPS" has been running for over three decades and frequently spotlights both Escambia and Santa Rosa counties, and now ECSO deputies and the people of Pensacola will be thrust back into the limelight for a new five-episode season titled "COPS: Spring Break."

Airing on FOX Nation, the direct-to-consumer streaming service that rebooted the "COPS" franchise in 2021, the five-episode collection will showcase ECSO deputies patrolling in and around Pensacola Beach while young adults converged during spring break in 2023. Sheriff's deputies in Okaloosa and Pinellas counties are also featured.

Each episode will stream on FOX Nation every Friday at 5 p.m. Central Time beginning April 5. The streaming platform is $5.99 monthly or $64.99 a year, and FOX is currently running a special that will get users a yearly subscription for just $29.99 for the first year.

Although ECSO deputies only appear in the first two episodes of the season, here's what you can expect from each episode.

Episode 1: Spring Break Mistakes

In the first episode of the new season airing April 5, ECSO deputies Adam Norre and Luke McCracken respond to a parking lot near the Pensacola Beach Ball Tower after a spring breaker accidentally shot himself. Later in the episode, a woman flags down Norre and investigator Eric Alvarez after she says a person was following her for hours along the boardwalk.

Additionally, the episode shows a Pinellas County deputy learning to play a new game from a group of beachgoers and an Okaloosa County deputy ticketing a minor after discovering alcohol and marijuana.

Episode 2: Spring Break In

In the second episode, which also airs April 5, ECSO Deputy 1st Class H. McGuire and Deputy Norre find a teenager passed out on the beach behind the lifeguard stand. When confronted, the teen tells deputies he was 22 years old and says, "I haven't drinkin' a little, I've drinkin' a lot."

Later in the episode, ECSO Deputy Bobby Purvis and Sgt. Scott Rivkin arrest and question an 18-year-old found drinking alcohol on Casino Beach.

Also, Pinellas deputies respond to a trespasser in a hot tub and Okaloosa deputies rescue a family of four when their jet ski flips over.

Episode 3: Spring Break Heartache

Airing April 12, episode three will show Okaloosa deputies find an underaged male on the beach with a "blackout rage gallon," a mixture of alcohol, electrolyte powder and a caffeine additive. They also encounter a group of college kids with coolers full of beer.

Pinellas deputies also enforce their zero-tolerance policy of glass containers and alcohol on the beach.

Episode 4: Spring Break Dance Party

Episode four will air alongside episode three on April 12 and shows Okaloosa deputies arrest a woman with an open alcohol container who refuses to cooperate, and police officers patrolling the Las Vegas Strip encounter a group of lively break dancers.

Deputies also warn of the danger of mixing alcohol and caffeine, and lifeguards rescue out-of-state swimmers.

Episode 5: Spring Break Wipeout

Okaloosa deputies save a Loon in episode five and discover an underage beachgoer pulling whiskey out of a cooler. They also force teens to dump out a cooler full of beer onto a non-alcoholic beach and cite a woman violating a no wake zone with a jet ski.
