21-year-old charged with attempted murder after woman shot in car with her children: NCPD

NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) — After a woman was shot while sitting in her car with two children, a 21-year-old woman was arrested Wednesday and faces charges related to attempted murder.

Pricila Zapata Celaya is charged with three counts of attempted murder and one count of possession of a weapon during a violent crime, the North Charleston Police Department said.

North Charleston Police Department investigators said on April 10, Celaya shot a woman in a car with her two children.

The victim was taken to an area hospital and treated for her injuries.

Celaya is being held at the Al Cannon Detention Center.
