England 0-1 Brazil LIVE REACTION: Three Lions lose at Wembley for first time since 2020 after Endrick scores late winner

England were beaten 1-0 by Brazil thanks to a late winner from Endrick at Wembley.

The Three Lions tasted defeat in the first of their final four friendlies before Euro 2024 after the 17-year-old tapped home his first goal for his country.

Vinicius Jr. was played through one-on-one with Jordan Pickford before the Everton goalkeeper saved well, only to see the ball drop to another Brazil shirt.

Gareth Southgate’s side were unable to find a goal back and they were left disappointed, being beaten for the first time since the World Cup quarter-finals.

Ollie Watkins had England’s best chance of the first half but he fired over the bar from only six yards out.

And it was West Ham’s Lucas Paqueta who had Brazil’s best opportunity, striking the post from just inside the box.

After the break, the tempo of the game seemed to fizzle out and chances dried up.

John Stones fired wide from range for the hosts before Paqueta whipped an effort just past the post as he cut in onto his left foot.

Just as the game seemed to be going in England’s favour, they were then caught on the break with Vinicius.

His shot was saved before it fell to Endrick and the starlet became the youngest-ever goalscorer at Wembley.

To make matters worse, Kyle Walker also picked up an injury that forced him off which will concern both England and Manchester City.

  • England 0-1 Brazil: REACTION

Gareth Southgate has given some more thoughts on England's 1-0 loss to Brazil tonight.

He said: "We played from the back really well. I am happy with a lot of that performance.

"[Watkins and Gordon were] very good. Anthony was excellent both sides of his game.

"With 15 minutes to go there were lots of changes and I think at the point the crowd were really pleased with the performance.

"Of course when you lose the game it turns negative but we have to keep the context with that."

Gordon's fellow England debutant Ezri Konsa has also spoken about tonight's defeat to Brazil.

"Definitely worth the wait and it's a dream come true - a proud moment," Konsa said.

"I wasn't expecting to come on that early, but I enjoyed every moment of it.

"I thought we were the better team and dominated the ball, but we couldn't score a goal."

"I am sure the other boys don't like losing. It is never a nice feeling and we wanted to win, but we didn't do that.

"It's a mixture of feelings but hopefully I can look back on tonight and see that I have made my debut for England.

"It is crazy if someone told me it years ago I would have said you were lying."

  • England 0-1 Brazil: REACTION

Anthony Gordon has described what it was like to make his England debut at Wembley this evening.

"Tonight was the best day of my life," Gordon told BBC Radio 5 Live.

"I envisioned it a bit different with a win and a goal. I thought we were the better team but we lacked that cutting edge that they had at the end.

"This is my long-term dream I have had. To achieve it means everything to me.

"I haven't just envisioned it in the last couple of years, I have imagined it in the garden [as a kid] recreating Rooney and Gerrard's goals - it's just an amazing moment.

"We have to find a way of killing teams and putting them to the sword when we get the chance."
