BRIDGEPORT, W.Va (WDTV) - Cars and Coffee Bridgeport had their first event of the season on Sunday afternoon.

It’s a family-friendly car show where people in the area can come hang out and talk about cars.

“I think it is a great thing for the community, especially being a free event,” said Joseph Vaughn, the event organizer. “[It] just gives people a place to, it’s going to sound cheesy but like a place to belong and just talk with like-minded people.”

There was a wide variety of cars at the show, from classic cars to high-end cars, to high-performance cars.

“I’m really proud of the variety there that we get, [we] get a little bit of everything,” said Vaughn.

Vaughn started Cars and Coffee Bridgeport last year because he wanted somewhere to go on Sundays to talk about cars.

“[It] gives me somewhere that I can talk to people that have the same interests as me, I can meet other people, I’ve met a lot of good friends through this event,” said Vaughn.

Vaughn thinks over 200 cars came out to the show, and he said they filled up the Hobby Lobby parking lot at one point.

Cars and Coffee Bridgeport has car shows every two weeks throughout the summer, and the full schedule is on their Facebook page.

Dough-Nick’s and Coffee was there with coffee and donuts, and there was also Cars and Coffee Bridgeport merch.
