Community Counts: “It Takes a Village Mentorship” Hosting Youth Leadership Conference & Charity Basketball Game

DANVILLE. (WCIA) — Parents, if you have fifth or sixth graders who attend South View Upper Elementary School, there’s a Youth Leadership Conference created just for them by a Pastor.

You may already know his name and organization. It Takes a Village Mentorship, led by both Lestan Hoskins and his wife, Jennifer. Together, they’ve made it their life’s mission to provide positive examples for youth. It’s their second year for it but they’ve got even more planned.

From a cheerleading camp to a charity basketball game. Most importantly, local businesses, leaders and professionals will speak about their careers and showcase future opportunities.

There’s a $20 fee but that includes your breakfast, lunch and snacks. You’ll receive a swag bag, t-shirt and more. It runs from 8:30 to 1:30 on Saturday, April 27th. There’s still time to register, all you have to do is click here. There’s also a link where you can pay your fee as well, just go here.
