For the first time in the history of The Eagle-Tribune, our sports staff has named a Girls Wrestling All-Star Team.
The number of female wrestlers continues to rise on the local sports scene, and the time has come.
The three members of our first-ever Eagle-Tribune All-Star girls team earned amazing success on the mat this year.
Maddy Li of Andover became the region’s first girls New England champ. Lawrence’s Hillary MacDonald won Division 1 State and All-State titles for the Lancers.
And Pelham’s Liz Donovan, who competes full-time against the boys, beat them all in Division III again this winter, capturing her third straight state title.
