ISP investigating after 35-year-old inmate dies at Jackson County Jail
Indiana State Police are investigating the death of an inmate in the Jackson County Jail.ISP detectives said they were told that around 5:15 p.m., 35-year-old Antonio Fox of Jackson, Mississippi, died in the Brownstown jail.They say that Fox collapsed inside his cell while the jail staff was speaking with him.They started performing lifesaving measures on him until Jackson County EMS could arrive to provide further care.Fox was taken to Schneck Medical Center in Seymour, where he was pronounced dead.The Jackson County Sheriff's Department then requested ISP to investigate.The investigation remains ongoing pending the completion of an autopsy scheduled for Wednesday.At the conclusion of the investigation, the case will be presented to the Jackson County Prosecutor’s Office for review.
