Man sentenced in Delaware County drug case

DELHI, NY (WBNG) -- A man has been sentenced in a drug case in Delaware County.

The district attorney’s office said Justin T. Baker, 36, of Sidney, NY, was sentenced to two and a half years in prison and one year of post-release supervision after he was convicted of the crime in March. He pleaded guilty to criminal possession of a controlled substance in the fifth degree, a class D felony. He admitted that he owned meth on Sept. 11, 2023.

As part of his sentencing, he was also ordered to provide a sample of his DNA for inclusion in the New York State DNA Databank and to pay fines and surcharges.

He was remanded to the Delaware County Correctional Facility to begin serving his sentence.
