Man killed in crash with semi

LATON , Calif. (FOX26) — A man died Wednesday night, after crashing into a a semi-truck in Kings County.

The crash happened around 8:00 p.m., in the area of 12 3/4 and Douglas Avenue.

The California Highway Patrol says a Chevrolet pick-up failed to stop at a stop sign, and crashed into a semi truck traveling southbound,

Officers say the driver of the Chevrolet died at the scene.

It has not been confirmed whether drugs or alcohol were a factor in the crash.
