Dayton transfer Koby Brea is considering Kentucky, Duke, North Carolina, Kansas and UConn in the NCAA transfer portal, he told CBS Sports' Jon Rothstein.

Last season Brea averaged 11.1 points, 3.8 rebounds and 1.2 assists per game in 33 appearances, mostly off the bench.

He led all men's college basketball players by shooting 49.75 percent from behind the arc.

Brea has one year of college eligibility remaining after four seasons with the Flyers.

Brea announced his entrance to the transfer portal April 16 on social media.

He told ESPN's Jeff Borzello that he is still deciding "which schools he wants to visit" after completing Zoom calls with his five final choices.

One of those visits could potentially take place this week at Kentucky, where new head coach Mark Pope has recruit visits scheduled each day with different players, according to CBS Sports' Matt Norlander.

Brea would make sense as a match for Pope, who made three-pointers a central part of BYU's offense during the 2023-24 season and is likely to pursue a similar offensive structure in Lexington.

In addition to his sharpshooting from deep, Brea made a career-high 51.2 percent of his shots from the field in order to finish the season as one of Dayton's top three producers despite making just four starts.

He was also key in the Flyers' advancement to the Round of the 32 during the 2024 NCAA Tournament. He started both games while contributing 14.5 points on 55.6 percent shooting from the field, as well as 56.3 percent from deep.

Brea is ranked as the No. 13 shooting guard available in the transfer portal this spring, according to 247Sports.

After capping off his fourth Dayton season with the second A10 Sixth Man of the Year title of his college career, Brea could move up from the bench next season. Programs like Kentucky or UConn, which are rebuilding after high turnover this offseason, have the roster space to potentially offer the sharpshooter a starting role this fall.
