A 9-year-old girl was shot Wednesday in the parking lot of a Philadelphia McDonald’s.

The incident occurred at about 6:15 p.m. Thursday at the intersection of at North Broad Street and West Allegheny Avenue, according to reports from NBC10 and the Philadelphia Inquirer.

The girl was walking through the parking lot with her family, towards the restaurant, when she was shot in her lower leg, Police Chief Inspector Scott Small said.

“You see her on [surveillance] video — her legs buckle” a few feet from the entrance, Small said.

A family member carried her into the McDonald’s, the Inquirer said. She was then taken to a hospital where she is in stable condition.

It’s not known where the bullet came from, Small told news outlets, and no arrests have been made yet.

No ballistic evidence was found on the scene either.
