Chicago Hotel Settles Race Discrimination, Family Leave Lawsuit

Millennium Hotels & Resorts settled a lawsuit filed by a manager who claimed she was discriminated against and denied legally available family leave because of her race.

The settlement was reached Monday after US Judge Elaine Bucklo in September rejected a motion to dismiss the case, filed by worker Candice Warren. The decision meant that Millennium, doing business as the Millennium Knickerbocker Chicago, had to settle the dispute or face trial.
