HELPER, Utah (KUTV) — A $500 reward is being offered for information leading to the arrest and conviction of anyone responsible for shooting and abandoning a dog in Carbon County.
The dog was found on the side of the Consumers Road near Helper on March 29.
Tanner Tamllos and her family found the dog, which they since named BluJay, and rushed him to the vet.

Tamllos said he was shot between the eyes, and a bullet was removed from his throat. BluJay has since been taken to his new home to continue recovering.
Carbon County deputies said on Thursday the $500 reward was given by a private citizen.
