Officials in Somerset County say cars came crashing down after the truck they were being carried on crashed into the Turnpike Bridge in Somerset Township.

Authorities say the crash happened along Route 281, otherwise known as Stoystown Road, around 3:30 Friday afternoon.

Officials say the truck was loaded too high when it went under the bridge.

In the aftermath, four scrapped cars from Ridge Recycling were laying on the road and were later towed away.

Officials say no injuries were reported and Turnpike officials were on scene to look at the bridge to make sure it was safe before it reopened.
