AmplifyHer conference hosts women leaders in New Bern's Riverfront Center

Women leaders will gather in Eastern North Carolina this weekend to amplify their voices, programs, and platforms.

The “AmplifyHer” conference will take place at the Riverfront Convention Center in New Bern this Saturday.

The organization’s founder, Erica Latrice, will host a panel discussion and workshops where attendees can ask questions and receive feedback.

One of the panelists – Antoinette Richardson – will talk about the process of writing and publishing her first book, "The Secret In The Water."

“So the purpose of the Amlifyher conference is to really help women step out and share their story, and not feel like their name isn’t big enough or they’re not good enough, that people actually want to hear what they have to stay," Latrice said.

“I would say to any woman who’s trying to write a book, to just go ahead and do it. Jot things down a little at a time, go back and look at it. Fill it in. My message is to go for it and just go forth," Richardson added.

I will also be a part of the panel discussion – talking about my work as a journalist and a mentor to young girls.
