HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) — It was another beautiful day across the Tennessee Valley, but thanks to southerly winds temperatures were much warmer.

Temperatures will continue to rise heading into the weekend, but isolated rain chances are forecast to return Wednesday.

A weak disturbance is forecast to move through the region late Tuesday night into Wednesday as a cold front drops in from the north. We’ll have a slight chance of an isolated shower in the morning, otherwise, it will be cloudy to start the day.

Rain chances will continue through midday, especially south of the Tennessee River in the early afternoon. The next rain chance will arrive late Thursday into Friday.

Above the surface, a ridge of high pressure will continue to build in the jet stream from the west.

This ridge will lead to a continued flow of warm air and moisture into the Southeast region. Temperatures will reach the low 80s Friday and into the upcoming weekend. With dew points nearing the upper 50s to low 60s, it will start to feel muggy and uncomfortable.
