A man has been arrested following a two-car crash in Stoke-on-Trent. Police were called to King Street, Fenton, after a grey BMW collided with another vehicle at just after 11.30am today (April 25).

The BMW driver provided a positive roadside test for cannabis. A 25-year-old man, from Stoke-on-Trent, has since been arrested on suspicion of drug driving. He remains in custody while enquiries continue.

The road is still closed between Montrose Street and Bishop Street as for 2.30pm.

A Staffordshire Police spokesman said: "We went to King Street, Fenton, just after 11.30am this morning and found a grey BMW and another car involved in a collision. If you were in the area at the time and have any dashcam footage that could help us, please get in touch."

In the latest update at 2.36pm, traffic monitoring site Inrix says: "A5007 King Street in both directions closed, queueing traffic due to accident between Montrose Street and Bishop Street. The sensors show that the road is now fully closed to assist."
