Fire Dept: Dryer starts fire at retirement community

JONESBORO, Ark. (KAIT) - Crews have cleared the scene of a small fire at Southwind Heights in Jonesboro.

The Jonesboro Fire Department told K8 News that a dryer with a towel in it caught fire on the first floor of the retirement community.

The fire was contained, and residents were evacuated for safety, but have all since returned.

According to dispatch, the scene was cleared at around 4:30 p.m.
