Farmageddon, the Iowa State-Kansas State football rivalry game, will have a decidedly international flavor in 2025.The teams will open that season on the road — far away from both home stadiums — in Dublin, Ireland. The Cyclones and Wildcats will meet in the Aer Lingus College Football Classic on Aug. 23, 2025, at Aviva Stadium in Dublin. “We are extremely grateful for this opportunity presented to us by Aer Lingus to provide the young men in our football program an unrivaled educational, cultural and athletic experience,” ISU Athletics Director Jamie Pollard said about the Cyclones' first international football game. “Iowa State fans enjoy a tremendous reputation for following the Cyclones wherever they play, and we look forward to seeing them travel with us to The Emerald Isle for the 2025 season-opener.”The 2025 season opener will be the first time since 1997 that the Cyclones has started a season in a conference game.
