LAWRENCE COUNTY, Tenn. (WZTV) — A former Middle Tennessee youth football coach has turned himself in on charges of aggravated statutory rape.
The Loretto Police Department says they received information that a statutory rape had occurred between a local male adult and a 14-year-old female juvenile from Kentucky. Investigators identified the man as Jason William Cromwell, who was subsequently removed from his position as the president of the Loretto Youth Football.
A grand jury in Lawrence County indicted Cromwell for aggravated statutory rape. Police say he turned himself in Friday.
