Investigators are looking for a man who knocked a customer unconscious outside a gas station in Oklahoma City in what police are calling an unprovoked attack.Get the latest news stories of interest by clicking here. The victim, a 46-year-old man, was beaten and put into a medically induced coma for several days. The brutal attack happened outside 7-Eleven on Macarthur and NW 10th. Police said it started with a heated argument inside that left the suspect fuming.When the victim walked out the doors, the suspect was waiting for him with a weapon. “A victim was found there brutally attacked, unconscious upon officer’s arrival,” said Dillon Quirk, the Oklahoma City Police Department's public information officer. On April 7 in the early morning, two men got into an argument inside the 7-Eleven. According to the police report, the suspect exchanged words and “stormed out of the door,” but he didn't leave. Police said the suspect blindsided the victim, striking him in the head with an object he grabbed from his car. “That suspect fled in a vehicle. Officers were able to track down that vehicle,” Quirk said. “Unfortunately, our leads are exhausted at this point. We have not been able to identify the suspect in this case.” First responders found the man unconscious and his head swollen.He was rushed to the hospital, where he spent several days in a medically induced coma with a brain bleed. >> Download the KOCO 5 app “This was a pretty violent attack, so we want to make sure we identify them and get them off the streets,” Quirk said.
