NI traffic alerts: Road closed as emergency services deal with fire at Belfast petrol station

A broken down lorry is obstructing lane one of the M1 travelling citybound. The obstruction is between junction 8 at Blaris and junction 7 at Sprucefield with motorists advised to slow down and pass with caution.

UPDATE: The lorry has now been cleared, although motorists have been advised to expect knock-on delays during rush hour.

A man has been rescued from a burning vehicle by an off duty firefighter.
Fire crews from Ballymena station, the PSNI, Air Ambulance and St John's Ambulance all attended a three vehicle crash on the Larne Road Link in Ballymena. 

The Larne Link in Ballymena has been closed on Sunday evening following a crash.

Police and emergency services are at the scene of a road traffic collision on the Branch Road in Carnlough, Co Antrim.
Diversions are in place via the Largy Road. 

The Hilltown Road, Mayobridge is closed between the Edentrumley Road and Mayobridge following a road traffic collision this morning. Motorists are advised to avoid the area and seek alternative main routes for their journey. 

Road now clear after earlier incidents.

Leaving the M1, there has been a road traffic collision on the outer lane about halfway between J1 Broadway and J2 Stockmans Lane - passable, but with delays.

A fallen tree that led to a road closure between Hardford Link and Holywood Road has been cleared.

Police are attending a road traffic collision on the outer lane of the M1, approaching J1 Broadway.
Meanwhile, in a separate incident, there is a broken down vehicle on lane 2 under the Broadway Underpass.

 

The Belfast Rd in Newtownards has been closed in both directions between  Hardford Link and Holywood Rd due to an obstruction across the road.  It is due to a fallen tree.
Road users are advised to avoid the area and if possible seek an alternative route for their journey until cleared. 

An earlier broken down vehicle on the inside lane of the Boucher Road off slip on the Westlink has now been removed.

The road traffic collision on the Shore Road at Oakmount Drive (opposite Fortwilliam Parkk) has been cleared, but delays on the M2 Northbound main carriageway remain.

The incident at Oakmount Drive, opposite Fortwilliam Park, has been causing lengthy tailbacks onto the Fortwilliam/M2 interchange.
Motorists can expect delays on the M2 out-of-town off-slip and M2 Northbound main carriageway.

An earlier road traffic collision on the A2 Shore Road at the junction with Glenville Road in Newtownabbey has been cleared. Traffic is now back to normal in the area.

There is disruption at the Shore Road in Newtownabbey at the junction with Glenville Road due to a road traffic collision. Traffic is down to one lane heading towards Carrickfergus and one lane towards Belfast city. Drivers are advised to avoid the area if possible and seek an alternative route.
