This year's National Day of Prayer theme is “Lift Up the Word, Light Up the World,” taken from 2 Samuel 22:29-31 - "For you are my lamp, O Lord, and my God lightens my darkness. For by You I can run against a troop, and by my God I can leap over a wall. This God - his way is perfect; the word of the Lord proves true; He is a shield for all those who take refuge in Him."

Each year, this event brings believers together from various congregations all over the Oak Ridge community, according to a news release, which described it as "a beautiful demonstration of the power of the unity of the faith.

The event will also be shown live on the Oak Ridge National Day of Prayer Community Event Facebook page.

James 5:26 says, “The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much.”For more information, you can call NDP Prayer Team at (865) 924-7729, or e-mail oakridgenationaldayofprayer@gmail.com.
