Victims identified after police find man and woman dead at downtown Biloxi bus stop

Biloxi authorities are investigating Friday after police found two people dead at a bus stop, Police Chief John Miller confirmed.

The deceased are Sterling Allen III, 37, of Gulfport and Ashley Denham, 39, of Saucier, Harrison County deputy coroner Mechelle Carbine said.

Their causes of death are unclear but no foul play is suspected, Carbine said. The coroner’s office does not expect to release causes of death on Friday, she said.

Police found Allen III and Denham dead at the Rue Magnolia bus stop Friday morning, police said.

A Biloxi patrol officer discovered the bodies about 6:18 a.m. during a routine check of the bus stop off U.S. 90, authorities said.

The officer was patrolling the 800 block of Beach Boulevard and noticed an unresponsive woman, Biloxi police said in a news release.

The officer found the man unresponsive in the same area, the release said.

Allen III and Denham were in a dating relationship, Carbine said.

An investigation is ongoing.
