Weekend Outlook

We’ll continue to flirt with record highs this weekend as temperatures climb into the upper 80s on both Saturday and Sunday. I’ve got dry weather continuing tomorrow, with a slight chance of showers arriving by Sunday. However, any outdoor plans through the weekend largely should be fine but be prepared to deal with the warmth.

Better Rain Chances Next Week

We’re still on track to see better rain chances arriving by early next week as a cool front approaches but stalls a little north of our local area. Scattered to numerous showers and t-storms are expected on Monday, with scattered rains remaining possible on Tuesday. With the front not quite making it this far south, temperatures will remain above normal, topping out in the mid to upper 80s.

Rain Amounts

The 7-day outlook from the Weather Prediction Center continues to suggest modest totals locally, with most areas receiving less than an inch of rainfall.

Extended Outlook

The 10-day outlook doesn’t really offer much hope for the warm and humid pattern breaking anytime soon. Highs will continue to top out in the mid to upper 80s, with only minimal rain chances anticipated beyond Tuesday.
