School districts earn workplace safety awards

Claims Administrative Services has recognized several East Texas school districts for their commitment to workplace safety and cost control services.

More than 350 Texas school districts and colleges participate in the Claims Administrative Services workers’ compensation risk pool program.

Pine Tree, White Oak, Tatum and Ore City ISDs each received the Billy E. Hibbs Safety Award for success in implementing safety programs designed to minimize losses and control workers’ compensation costs. The award recognizes members who achieve superior loss control results.

Each district also received a $500 Annie Ozella Jones Scholarship to award to a student of its choosing.
