A man is in custody after Colorado Springs police say he trafficked and pimped a woman.

Around 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, police arrested Rudy Levi Hurtado "without incident" in the 3000 block of North Chestnut Street, though the suspect reportedly had a handgun, police said.

Officers with the Colorado Springs Police Department's metro vice, tactical enforcement, canine, drone, metro intelligence, metro narcotics, patrol and victims advocacy units, as well as the local Homeland Security Investigations office, assisted in the arrest.

Police officials said Hurtado had five previous felony warrants and will face additional charges, which they did not detail, as a result of the recent human trafficking investigation.

The Colorado Springs Police Department's victim advocacy unit coordinated services and care for the woman, police said.
