Chiefs Twitter reacts to Broncos trading for former No. 2 pick Zach Wilson

The Kansas City Chiefs may be facing a former No. 2 overall pick during their 2024 campaign after the Denver Broncos traded for New York Jets quarterback Zach Wilson on Monday.

Denver’s decision to make their move on the 2021 first-round pick came as a surprise to many fans around the country, as it seems to signal that the Broncos might not be in the market for a quarterback with their No. 12 pick in the 2024 NFL Draft.

For his part, Wilson played well against the Chiefs last season after an injury to Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers forced him into action at MetLife Stadium in Week 4. New York wasn’t able to pull out a win at home against the eventual Super Bowl LVIII champions, losing by just three points in one of the best starts of Wilson’s young career.

Despite his exceptional play against Kansas City last season, Chiefs fans were thrilled that Denver decided to pull the trigger on Wilson, and teased their AFC West rivals on social media sites after the deal was reported.
