(FOX40.COM) — The Sacramento Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce, area officials and various capital region business interests will soon meet with federal officials for the 52nd annual Capitol-to-Capitol event.

From April 13 – 17, 424 attendees, including 90 elected officials, will lobby Washington D.C. lawmakers on several regional causes including improving infrastructure, enhancing sustainability and “fostering an innovative economic environment.”

“It is with great pride that the Metro Chamber will lead the nation’s largest travel contingent to date to Washington D.C. to be a resounding voice of business for the Greater Sacramento region,” said Robert W. Heidt, Jr., President & CEO of the Sacramento Metro Chamber. “It’s a new day at the Chamber and we are thrilled to have so many diverse voices and widespread representation that includes all six of the counties served by the Chamber.”

Among the lawmakers attendees expect to meet will be Congressman Ami Bera, who will host the opening breakfast, and Congresswoman Doris Matsui, who will participate in the leadership forum.
