An earthquake didn't stop New York Yankees second baseman Gleyber Torres from getting his swings in the batting cage.

MLB Network shared a video of Torres working out at Yankee Stadium the moment New York City rumbled from an earthquake on Friday morning. The center field camera began shaking at one point, but it appeared to be business as usual for everyone on the field.

Yankees manager Aaron Boone, a native of California, didn't think anything of the earthquake.

"I am used to it, I guess," he said. "I grew up in these things. I thought it was the sound system, actually."

According to the United States Geological Survey, a 4.8-magnitude earthquake was measured outside of Califon, New Jersey. The effects were felt across the Northeast and as far east as Connecticut.

The quake wasn't enough to disrupt the Bronx Bombers' home opener, with first pitch against the Toronto Blue Jays still scheduled for 1:05 p.m. ET.
