Saturday is National Drug Take Back Day

Maine (WABI) - Saturday, April 26 is National Drug Take Back Day.

You can turn in unneeded medication for safe disposal.

Several law enforcement agencies are taking part, including Hampden Public Safety and the Healthy Community Coalition of Greater Franklin County.

You can drop off unused prescription drugs at their sites between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.

According to the United States Drug Enforcement Administration, as of October 2023, 17.90 million unneeded medications have been safely removed from communities across the U-S as part of National Drug Take Back Day.
