Expect a warm and humid Saturday with a fairly low 30% chance of thunderstorms, so a daytime wash-out is not expected. Precipitation odds go “pedal to the metal” Saturday night into Sunday morning; several inches of rain are possible at that time. Flood Watches are posted. Beware of washed out roads and high water; turn around, don’t drown!

The rain should end by noon Sunday with just a 20% chance of an afternoon shower or thunderstorm at that time. Severe weather threatens Monday as a dry line, upper trough, and strong daytime heating interact with a very humid environment; all types of severe weather will be possible, including tornadoes. This is a heads up for potentially dangerous skies Monday evening, stay tuned this weekend as trends may change.

Tuesday and Wednesday show the warmest days of the week with highs close to 90 degrees, a strong cold front arrives Thursday and we may be able to enjoy much less humid weather for Mother’s Day weekend.
