Tubeworker welcomes Sadiq Khan's re-election as Mayor of London. Prior to the election we urged readers to vote for him without illusions: despite his limitations, his re-election is a vastly preferable outcome than the victory of his right-wing Tory opponent.

As we reported recently, LUL was able to keep Oxford Circus open despite a solid strike by local station staff by flooding the station with "Ambassadors".

The Rail Accident Investigation Branch's report into an incident at Clapham Common station last year, where passengers broke train windows to escape after a car filled with smoke, has pointed to deficiencies with LUL's training regime.

RMT station staff at Oxford Circus struck on Friday-Saturday 3-4 May, starting with the Night Tube shift on Friday night and going through to Saturday evening, to demand reinstatement for unjustly sacked workmate Gerald Njaka.
