BURLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) - It’s been an active and loud start to the morning across the northern half of the area as a cluster of thunderstorms moves through. That cluster will continue to weaken as it shifts south and east, and it will be much quieter by mid morning.

Today will feel quite spring-like as temperatures surge into the low to mid 70s and dew points rise into the mid 50s to near 60 by this evening. After a few very dry days, it will feel a bit humid. Most of Sunday will be dry with breaks of sun. Areas that see more sun will see the warmest temperatures. An isolated shower or storm remains possible through the day, but the next batch of widespread wet weather holds off until this evening.

One more round of showers and storms will push through the area this evening into the early overnight hours as a cold front moves through. It will bring cooler, drier air for Monday. Any showers taper off tonight, and it will be partly cloudy by Monday morning. Highs will be in the 60s.

Wet weather returns by early Tuesday, with the chance for showers through the day. Drier weather builds in for Wednesday and Thursday, and there will be a warming trend through the end of the week. Temperatures will be back in the lower 70s by Thursday and Friday, with unsettled weather returning by next weekend.

Have a great day!
