A New Providence man was convicted earlier this month of sexually abusing three girls, one as young as 7, in Manor Township going back to 1995.

George Pfeiffer, 64, was found guilty April 19 of 30 sexual abuse charges, including 15 first-degree felonies, after a three-day jury trial, according to the Lancaster County District Attorney’s Office.

Assistant District Attorney Fritz Haverstick, who prosecuted the case, said this was the oldest sex offense case tried in Lancaster County.

“(The first two victims) waited nearly 30 years for this day, but they never really thought it would happen,” Haverstick saidin a news release. “They would have taken (Pfeiffer’s) sick secret to their graves, but he could not stop sexually abusing children.”

One woman said she was about 11 years old, and another woman said she was 15 years old when the abuse started, according to charging documents. The women told police that Pfeiffer raped them and forced them to perform sex actsin at least two locations from 1995 until 2002.

The third victim said the abuse started when she was 7 years old and told another victim about it when she was 14 years old in 2021, the district attorney’s office said. Then, the first two victims came forward.

Pfeiffer is being held in Lancaster County Prison awaiting sentencing.
