Country music superstar LeAnn Rimes will appear at the Mentor Civic Amphitheater at 7 p.m. July 28 as a part of the Mentor Rocks summer concert series.

Rimes is an international multi-platinum selling acclaimed singer and ASCAP award-winning songwriter. She has sold more than 48 million units globally, won two Grammy Awards and 12 Billboard Music Awards along with numerous other honors, according to a news release.

At 14, Rimes won “Best New Artist” making her the youngest solo artist to take home a Grammy Award, and at 15, she became the first country artist to win “Artist of the Year” at the Billboard Music Awards.

Out of the 63 singles she has released throughout her career, Rimes’ ballad “How Do I Live” holds the record as Billboard’s Hot 100 all-time No. 1 hit by a female artist and currently ranks No. 6 on Billboard’s “Greatest of All Time: Hot 100 Songs” list.

Her latest album “god’s work” was released in 2022.

2024 Mentor Rocks summer concert series lineup

Mentor Rocks is an all-ages event which promotes a festival-like atmosphere each week. In 2023, 92,930 people from across Northeast Ohio attended with an average of 7,148 per performance, the release stated.

In addition to music, attendees can enjoy a great selection of food from area vendors as well as an assortment of beers and wines. The venue features lawn seating, so attendees should bring their own blankets or chairs.

Outside food is permitted although outside alcohol is not, the release stated. Overflow parking is available at the nearby Mentor Senior Center and Mentor High School.

Admission and parking to all Mentor Rocks events are free of charge thanks to the support of Mentor Rocks sponsors.
