NJ Advance Media reporters honored in national journalism contest

Two NJ Advance Media journalists were honored by a national journalism contest for work they performed for NJ.com, The Star-Ledger and their sister publications in 2023.

The Poynter Journalism Awards selected Adam Clark and Ted Sherman as standouts from the more than 525 entries that were submitted by more than 300 organizations and individuals, the judges said.

Adam Clark won the Punch Sulzberger Innovator of Year prize for The Oral History of Wawa. The distinction honors “a journalist or organization that excels in new ways of executing the craft of journalism and whose work is a bold new approach.”
