Villa of Hope holds annual Portraits of Hope gala to raise money for a good cause

Rochester, N.Y. — Villa of Hope held their annual Portraits of Hope Gala Saturday night to raise funds for the organization.

The funds from the event helped raise money for treatment services for mental health, substance use disorders, special education for youth, and in-home community care services.

The gala had auctions, a four-course dinner, live music, and a keynote address, all to raise money for a good cause.

“There are people in our community with behavioral health challenges, and they need to able to access the care and treatment they need, and without an event like Portraits of Hope Gala, some of these folks wouldn’t be able to access these services,” said Carrie Carl, the president and CEO of Villa of Hope. “We use these funds we received tonight to make sure that our operating and admission hours are not just the Monday through Friday 9-5 variety, but we can meet folks when and where they’re at when they’re ready to start their healing journey.”

The Champion of Hope award was also presented during the gala, honoring someone that positively impacted the lives of those in the Rochester community.
