Four people were injured in a mass shooting in Thibodaux Thursday night, according to the Lafourche Parish Sheriff's Office.
Police responded to a call just before 10 p.m. in the 1400 block of Orange Grove Square, where officers found three people with gunshot wounds. A fourth shooting victim had already been transported to a local hospital. The three other victims were transported a New Orleans hospital.
Gunfire erupted after a fight had broken out, police said.
Hours before the shooting in Orange Grove Square, another shooting occurred in Raceland. Police responded to a call around 8:25 p.m. in the 200 block of Market Street, where at least three vehicles and one home were struck by gunshots. No injuries were reported.
The two shootings remain under investigation.
