SNOHOMISH — The twin stars of “Unsellable Houses” aren’t sprucing up rooms or knocking down walls in their latest HGTV appearance.
Lyndsay Lamb and Leslie Davis are showing homes in Thursday’s episode of “House Hunters: All Stars.” It’s a departure from their “Unsellable Houses” series.
“We may be known as the people to go to when you can’t sell your home,” Davis says in the promo, with Lamb adding: “We also help people find their perfect houses, too.”
The show is set in Snohomish County, with the sisters behind the wheel of their retro orange VW van.
In the “House Hunters” episode, an engaged couple, identified as Gina and Randy, want to relocate from Chicago and buy a house in the county. Gina is from Washington and they’ve been living with her parents.
The episode is titled “The Turnkey vs. DIY Debate.” Randy (aka “handy Randy”) wants projects and to stay under $550,000. Gina wants move-in ready and is willing to spend $600,000. They both want a yard for their mini Australian Labradoodle.
They tour three homes: An updated $495,000 Mountlake Terrace townhome with a $572 monthly HOA fee and a shared yard. An Everett fixer-upper, $450,000, with atrocious carpet and popcorn ceilings. And a $599,000 Lynnwood ranch home at the top of their budget that needs a few fixes.
Watch the show to see their choice.
The twins, who are working on their fifth season of “Unsellable Houses,” have appeared in other HGTV shows. They were on “Home Town Kickstart” and won the recent “Rock the Block” competition.
The plot of “Unsellable Houses” is that the sisters invest their money into renovating a home and share profits with the seller, who is part of the show. The series features local sights and people.
Off the show, the Lamb and Davis can be seen around downtown Snohomish. They have made a brand of their name under Lamb & Co. A building on First Street houses their real estate office and design center. Two blocks away is their homegoods store with decor, totes, jewelry and furniture.
