Westbound traffic was delayed near the intersection of Norvell Bryant Highway (County Road 486) and North Forest Ridge Boulevard shortly past 8:15 a.m. Tuesday, as a work van caught fire.

A van fire, near the intersection of County Road 486 and North Forest Ridge Boulevard, snarled traffic, especially in the westbound lanes while the fire was fought.

According to Cortney Marsh, with Citrus County Fire Rescue (CCFR), firefighters were dispatched at 8:19 a.m., to a call regarding a white van that had caught fire, which was placed under control shortly past 8:30 a.m., and fully extinguished by 9 a.m.
