Prince Louis' favourite food is very unusual - but he's not the only royal who loves it

Prince Louis is set to celebrate his sixth birthday today and as the youngest of the Wales children, he has been seen in public less than his siblings.

As Prince Louis marks his sixth birthday, royal enthusiasts might be tickled to learn about one of his top food choices.

The young royals, including Prince George and Princess Charlotte, have quite the palate for everyday favourites, with George partial to cheesy pasta and Charlotte having a penchant for curries. However, it seems that Louis shares his siblings' tastes but also has a soft spot for his greens, particularly an unexpected favourite beetroot, as we previously reported.

Ever since Prince George's arrival in July 2013, the Prince and Princess of Wales have occasionally given the public glimpses into their children's lives through comments at various engagements and interviews. It's through these snippets that fans have pieced together the culinary preferences of the little royals.

For instance, during a visit to a school in Enfield, London, back in February 2019, Kate divulged to the CEO of Ivy Learning Trust, Matthew Kleiner-Mann, details about her children's cooking adventures: "She was telling us how much her children love cooking and how they cook for her. They made cheesy pasta the other day. One stirs the flour, one puts the milk and butter in. And they make salads and stuff."

Prince Louis celebrates his sixth birthday today and royal enthusiasts are eagerly anticipating a new photograph of the youngster, reports the Mirror.

The past few months have been particularly challenging for the Prince and Princess of Wales and their family due to Kate's cancer diagnosis.

The royal couple took the time to gently share the cancer news with their children, allowing them time to understand the situation. Louis was last seen in public on Christmas Day during the Royal Family's traditional festive appearance at the King's Sandringham Estate for the church walk.

He was photographed holding hands with Zara and Mike Tindall's eldest daughter Mia on one side and his father on the other. Earlier that month, Louis joined his older siblings, George, 10, and Charlotte, 8, at the annual Westminster Abbey carol concert organised by their mother.
