Lansing took advantage of four Captains errors to take a 10-4 victory April 21 at Classic Auto Group Park.

The game was tied at 4-4 in the sixth inning when the Lugnuts broke it open with five runs. The top of the sixth featured one error, three stolen bases, two walks, one double, one wild pitch and two singles.

The Captains advanced a runner to second base in each of the last four innings, but did not bring any of them home. They were 1-for-11 with runners in scoring position and struck out 12 times.

Jake Fox had two hits for the Captains, including a two-run home run, his second of the season. Maick Collado had an RBI single, a run scored and three walks.

Starter Trenton Denholm went 4 1/3 innings, and gave up three runs (two earned) on seven hits. Reliever Juan Zapata (0-2) took the loss. He gave up six runs (two earned) and walked three in one inning.

The Lugnuts took four of the six games played in the series.

Next up for Lake County is six games at West Michigan beginning April 23.
