LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — Henderson police released details Thursday on a suspect who apparently tried to lure young girls into his truck.

According to a release from the Henderson Police Department, dispatchers recently received two calls about possible child luring.

The incidents, which police say were reported on April 24, happened in the area of Paradise Hills Drive and Greenway Road. At approximately 2:45 p.m. and 3:10 p.m.

In each case, a truck slowed down to talk to young girls, and the driver offered the juveniles a ride.

The suspect in each incident is described as light-skinned, between 20 and 30 years old, with dark hair and possibly a close-shaven beard. He was driving a white dual-wheel truck with tinted windows and a sticker on the driver’s side back window.

8 News Now spoke to residents who described the area as a quiet part of town which makes the incidents even more startling for everyone.

“It’s a safe neighborhood, the neighbors, it’s close-knit,” Sheri Brynton who works as a crossing guard nearby told 8 News Now.

The investigation into these incidents is ongoing, and anyone with information on them is asked to contact Detective Daisy Rodriguez at 702-267-4579 or the Henderson Police Department at 709-267-4911. Additionally, those wishing to remain anonymous can contact Crime Stoppers at 702-385-5555 or via the organization’s website. A reward may be available.
