BAFTA Television Craft Awards winners announced

The awards celebrate the craft of behind-the-scenes TV talent and the best programmes of 2023

BAFTA has announced the winners of its BAFTA TV Craft Awards, celebrating behind-the-scenes talent and the best programmes of 2023.

Hosted by Stacey Dooley, the ceremony was held at The Brewery London, with several winners picking up more than one award on the night.

Nikki Parsons, Ollie Bartlett and Richard Valentine took the award for Director: Multi-camera category for Eurovision Song Contest 2023, with Julio Himede, Tim Routledge, Kojo Samuel, Michael Sharp and Dan Shipton also winning Entertainment Craft Team for their work on the programme.

The Editing: Factual award went to the team behind Once Upon a Time in Northern Ireland.

The sound team behind Slow Horses won the BAFTA for Sound: Fiction with Sam Williams awarded the win in the Editing: Fiction category for episode one of the programme.

The award for Sound: Factual was won by the sound team for The Coronation of HM The King and Queen Camilla.

Stephan Pehrsson took the award for Photography & Lighting: Fiction for work on the Black Mirror episode, Demon 79, which also earned BAFTAs in the Writer: Drama category for Charlie Brooker and Bisha K Ali.

Benedict Sanderson became a first-time BAFTA winner, taking the award for Photography: Factual for The Detectives: Taking Down an OCG.

Tim Crosbie, Caimin Bourne, Jet Omoshebi, Dan Weir, Cinesite and David Stephens won the BAFTA in Special, Visual & Graphic Effects for The Witcher.

The award in the Titles and Graphic Identity category went to Tamsin McGee, Ben Hanbury, Hugo Moss and Paul McDonnell for Wilderness.

The BAFTA Television Awards with P&O Cruises will be held on Sunday 12 May.
