Apple is set to host its worldwide developer's conference (WWDC 2024) in June, where the Cupertino-based tech giant is rumoured to announce the last OS update - iOS 18, for iPhone users. Leaks in the past hinted that the upcoming iOS 18 might arrive with generative AI features. Now, a new report from Bloomberg's Mark Gurman revealed that iOS 18 is set to undergo major changes, including an overhaul of Apple's built-in apps like Notes, Mail, Photos and Fitness.

Gurman didn't disclose specific new features for these apps. Rumours suggest Notes may support more math equations and a voice memo recording option. He also confirmed Apple's plan to introduce a Calculator app for iPadOS 18, as reported by MacRumours last week.
1. According to MacRumours, iOS 18 is expected to include new generative AI features for Siri, Spotlight, Shortcuts, Apple Music, Messages, Health, Keynote, Numbers, Pages, and more. These features are expected to be powered by Apple's on-device large language model (LLM), but Apple has reportedly also discussed partnerships with companies like Google, OpenAI, and Baidu.
2. "One of the design changes rumoured for iOS 18 is a more customisable Home Screen, including the ability to place app icons anywhere on the Home Screen grid. This change will allow for blank spaces, rows, and columns between app icons," the report said.
3. Additionally, iOS 18, is expected to feature a revamped Calculator app with several new features, including a sidebar that lists recent calculations, an improved interface for converting units, integration with the Notes app, and more.
4.With iOS 18, the Notes app is expected to gain support for displaying mathematical notation, allowing users to include more types of algebraic equations and formulas in notes.
5. The report also revealed that at least two new Apple Maps features are expected on iOS 18, including custom routes and topographic maps.
